6K a year Madrid Home, a Western Home Community, is seeking a Director of Rehab to join our team who is responsible for the successful operations of the Madrid Therapy team.
In this role you will ensure the highest standard of rehabilitation services are delivered in the most efficient manner, while obtaining the best possible outcomes for those that we serve.

Successful completion of an accredited program for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Valid license to practice therapy in the State of Iowa.
Minimum of 3 years direct patient care experience and 1 year management experience, preferred Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing High level communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have thorough knowledge of all state practice acts Intermediate skill level in computer software to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Effective leadership and customer relationship skills.
Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.
Must possess the ability to effectively manage/motivate staff Responsibilities of a Director of Rehab:
Supervises rehabilitation personnel including therapists and assistants in daily operations, assuming responsibility for daily staffing and utilization Provides clinical management of the rehabilitation department, including oversight related to case management, care planning, appropriate delivery of therapy utilization and patient identification.
Provides direct patient care on site and outpatient care Ensures the clinical management of the rehab department, quality improvement, care planning, clinical utilization, and patient identification.
Assists in the recruitment and retention of rehabilitation staff, including but not limited to interviews and orientation.
Communicates timely and professionally with rehabilitation and facility staff, patients, families, healthcare providers and other customers.
